Jamie is a Fellow and Director of Studies in Law at Wolfson College, Cambridge, and a Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge.
His academic research focuses on international territorial disputes, self-determination and human rights, and he has published widely in these areas. He also teaches undergraduates and postgraduates at the university.
Despite being based primarily in the UK, Jamie remains a Consultant at ISOLAS and continues to work closely with colleagues at the firm on public, administrative and regulatory matters.
He is frequently instructed by the Government of Gibraltar on a wide range of international legal matters.
Jamie regularly advises banks and investment firms on contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues. He also provides advice to regulators and other public bodies.
