Gibraltar, 20/08/2019: Peter Isola, the senior partner of Gibraltar’s oldest law firm, ISOLAS LLP and chairman of the Fiduciary Group, has been honoured as one of the recipients of the prestigious 2019 Gibraltar Medallion of Distinction.
Awarded by the Gibraltar Parliament, Peter Isola will receive the medallion for his contribution for public service, specifically for his legal, financial services and gaming practice, as well as his involvement with the Gibraltar International Bank.
Alongside the Gibraltar Medallions of Honour, the Gibraltar Medallions of Distinction recognise the achievements of individuals in the community, including areas such as education, promoting Gibraltar, charitable work, health, culture, sport and tourism.
Peter was managing partner of ISOLAS LLP for 15 years, before being named senior partner in 2007. As well as a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Peter is chairman of the Gibraltar branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners; is on the board of various regulated entities; a number of charities; is a previous president of the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and presently a
Commission Member of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
In addition to his expertise in financial services, corporate and trust law, Peter is recognised for his expertise in and the development of the gaming industry .
Peter said: “It is a great honour to have received a Gibraltar Medallion of Distinction. To see my name amongst those who work tirelessly across our community is humbling. I look forward to attending the ceremony and celebrating with all those that truly make Gibraltar such a fantastic place to live and work.”
The Medallions will be presented on 10 September being Gibraltar’s National Day.
