Joey Garcia, Senior Associate with the Funds team at ISOLAS, formed part of the Gibraltar contingent who recently attended the Invest ’12 Forum in Geneva during October 2012.
As part of the event, Joey attended the three-day conference during which he spoke to interested attendees about Gibraltar as an option for Swiss Managers following CISA, changes to the legislation which occurred during September 2012.
Joey further spoke as part of a 2-member panel alongside the Finance Centre Director, Jimmy Tipping in respect of LPCC and relevant Gibraltar solutions. Speaking about the event, Joey explained that ‘traveling to conferences of this nature is a very important part of the marketing initiatives for Gibraltar plc generally and, of course, ISOLAS’ funds team specifically. Spending time with the professionals who are dealing with the practical realities, on the ground, of legislative changes afoot in Switzerland is a very valuable exercise as it affords us the opportunity to deal with doubts and questions as they arise and thereby maximising the understanding of the value Gibraltar represents.’
