Minister Isola commented, “Switzerland is a key market for Gibraltar’s financial services sector. Following on from our recent visit to Geneva I am very pleased to be travelling to Zurich next week to assist in the development of new business that will focus principally but not exclusively on independent asset management and the opportunities that Gibraltar’s status within the EU offers to new entrants.”
Joey Garcia, partner at ISOLAS, will be attending the events next week as part of the Gibraltar roadshow, meeting with clients and intermediaries during his time there. He remarked on the value of the event by saying that “Zurich is a place which, along with Geneva, represents a genuine and continuing opportunity to broaden the horizons of the Gibraltar financial services offering. As an EU, onshore jusrisdiction and, particularly, in light of the recent signing of an MOU with the Swiis regulator (FINMA) we are very excited about the developoing and, no doubt, improving opportunity for collaboration with Swiss finance and asset management professionals.”
