Anna works alongside Partner Christian Hernandez in commercial law with a focus on corporate finance, and with Partner James Montado in the litigation team.
Anna undertakes transactional work with a particular focus on complex, high-value finance transactions. These matters are primarily on behalf of lenders, where Anna plays a key role in structuring and negotiating agreements that safeguard client interests. In this capacity, Anna assists Partner Christian Hernandez, ensuring that transactions are executed efficiently and in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. This work often involves navigating intricate contractual arrangements and advising on risk mitigation strategies for financial institutions.
Anna primarily assists Partner James Montado in a diverse civil and commercial litigation practice. Her involvement spans disputes across a wide range of sectors and industries, giving her exposure to multifaceted legal challenges. Anna regularly advises clients on contentious matters, including contractual breaches, conflict of laws, debt recovery, and generally complex commercial claims.
Anna provides guidance to corporate entities on insolvency-related issues, particularly in the critical period prior to the onset of insolvency. Her advice focuses on directors’ duties, responsibilities, and potential liabilities, helping businesses navigate financial distress while minimising legal risk.
Anna contributes to addressing broader insolvency touchpoints that arise from non-contentious corporate and commercial transactions. This dual perspective allows her to advise on both preventative measures and reactive strategies in insolvency scenarios.
Anna forms part of the Data Protection and Privacy team which regularly advises clients on complex data protection matters, including handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and managing data breaches in compliance with Gibraltar’s GDPR requirements. Her work involves assessing regulatory obligations, mitigating risks associated with data processing, and ensuring robust privacy frameworks for clients.
