The PJ Isola Foundation, set up in memory of the Hon Peter J Isola OBE, has been supporting worthy local causes for many years. Most recently, the foundation sponsored the maillots worn by a team of riders who completed a charity cycle ride from Lisbon to Gibraltar in aid of Autism Support Gibraltar and ActionAid.

The cyclists, Ian Howes, Jimmy Alcantara, Louis Hook, Michael Vella, and Jason Galton, covered a total distance of 600km in just 4 days.

In thanking the foundation, the team of cyclists said: “We wish to express our thanks and gratitude for the invaluable assistance you and Peter provided. The sponsorship of the maillots allowed the riders to be unison throughout the event, portrayed a sense of professionalism and visually sent the message of the event, the charities and sponsors to all who saw us.

Your generosity has helped to reduce the individual costs each of the riders had to put towards the event.”

At the time of writing, almost £5000 has been raised, which will be donated equally between the Autism Support Gibraltar and ActionAid charities.

The PJ Isola Foundation wishes to congratulate all five men on what was an incredible feat for an admirable purpose.
