Jonathan Garcia, a partner at ISOLAS LLP, a leading Gibraltar law firm, is one of six appointees to the new Financial Services working policy group.
Led by the Hon Albert Isola, Gibraltar Government Minister for Digital and Financial Services, the newly formed policy working group will advise and support the Minister on all aspects relating to the development and expansion of the Gibraltar financial services industry. Supported by Finance Centre Director James Tipping, the group will focus on how the sector can secure and further extend its position at the cutting edge of international financial services.
The group will apply particular consideration to the careful preservation, and continued innovation, of its existing products and will look to introduce new areas of business, within the scope of the Gibraltar financial services industry. The public/private partnership stands to embed the growth of the industry, empowering cooperation between the established industry associations, the Finance Centre Council and the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
Jonathan, a highly respected financial services lawyer, focusing on the future of the industry, maintains a wealth of experience within financial services, advising on a variety of solutions to an international client base which includes investment funds and DLT providers. His unrivalled understanding of the vast regulatory framework associated with the industry will make a significant addition to the group.
