Gibraltar Finance, in partnership with private sector representatives, will for the second time be exhibiting at the PayExpo 2015 conference as silver sponsors in an event hosted at the Excel Centre in the heart of London’s Docklands.

Paul Astengo, Senior Executive with Gibraltar Finance will lead the Gibraltar delegation which this year includes Joanne Beiso, Gibraltar Financial Services Commission and Peter Howitt, Gibraltar Electronic Money Association and Ramparts European Law Firm. Gibraltar firms IDT Finance, The Bancorp, Wavecrest and Payoneer, attending in their own right will make for a very strong representation of Gibraltar’s proposition.

PayExpo 2015 is an essential event for anyone involved in the electronic money and payments sector. It comprises five conferences – The Future of Payments Summit, Mobile Money Europe, Merchant Payments, Prepaid Gifting & Loyalty and the new Payments Security & Authentication – as well as two new workshops covering Cryptocurrency and Payments and more than 50 exhibitors make this the most comprehensive payments event in the European market.

With over 2,000 attendees plenty of networking opportunities arise. The sheer scale means that PayExpo has something for everyone, from thought leading debate on future trends and emerging technologies through to innovative case studies and regulatory updates.

Albert Isola, Minister for Financial Services commented, “In addition to maximising the benefits derived from our traditional markets we are always keen to identify new areas of opportunity. PayExpo offers Gibraltar firms the chance to showcase their proposition and influence the behaviour of target companies ensuring that Gibraltar continues to be an area of interest for them.

The challenge facing the Gibraltar Finance team is to heighten international awareness of our undoubted strengths including our international reputation, the efficacy of our regulation and the speed with which businesses are able to get to market. This event is clearly focused on doing so on a global scale. Paul Astengo and the Gibraltar delegation have a wonderful opportunity to showcase the Gibraltar proposition and will host a panel session asking if it is still possible to be a successful cross border business in e-Payments.”
