ISOLAS LLP hosted its latest employment seminar, “The Toxic Workplace”, bringing together professionals from across Gibraltar’s business community both in person and online.
The seminar explored the growing challenges employers face in identifying, managing, and mitigating toxic behaviours in the workplace, and the associated legal risks. The session examined how issues connected with poor communication, bullying, micromanagement and workplace culture can escalate into grievances, disciplinaries, claims and reputational damage if not addressed appropriately.
This was led by Partner Samantha Grimes, a leading expert in Gibraltar employment law, alongside Senior Associate Danielle Victor, who provided practical insights into the legal framework, recent case trends and best-practice approaches for employers. Attendees also engaged in discussion around real-life scenarios and preventative strategies.
Speaking after the event, Samantha Grimes commented that the strong turnout reflected how topical the issue has become for employers across sectors, reinforcing the importance of proactive management, clear policies and effective leadership.
