The Isle of Man Fund Managers Association held a launch evening on Wednesday 8 December 1993 at the Shearwater Suite, Palace Hotel.
As part of the evening, former CEO at the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission Jim Noakes gave a short talk on relevant industry issues that the FSC had recently addressed or were proposing to address. Noakes brought attendees up to date on changes within the FSC and its current thinking in respect of fund management in the Isle of Man.
The audience, approximately 50-60 people, consisted of fund managers, brokers, accountants, advocates and other people connected with the sector in the Isle of Man including former Chief Minister of the Isle of Man Mr Donald Gelling.
